Website Launch Institute of Architecture and Art
ICAA recognizes excellence by honoring the achievements of industry professionals, publishes an annual journal, and provides educational resources for students, design and building professionals, and the general public, both in the United States and in Europe.
We are super excited to house all of their amazing content and resources on their new digital home!
Have we mentioned how easy it is (now) to find out where and when the latest ICAA events will be hosted throughout Texas? Stop by the new website and take a look, RSVP, plan your schedule!
We had such an amazing time working with the ICAA team. When we wrapped up our project, we asked them to tell us about their experience:
How did we do on your project?
Would you recommend Click & Co. in the future?
What else would you like to share about ICAA or your experience with Click & Co.
More about ICAA:
ICAA provides a forum and comprehensive educational resource for students, design and building professionals, and the general public, both in the United States and in Europe.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMSContinuing education courses; study and drawing tours; seminars; intensive winter and summer programs for professionals; and academic partnerships extending a unique curriculum. In 2017 the ICAA launched the New Heights Architectural 8th grade curriculum at Alamo Heights Jr. School working with Instructor Casey Fallis’ Art Portfolio class. This eleven-week course has provided students with an introduction to fundamentals of classical architecture and building history of San Antonio. Never before has a program such as this been offered in a public school and we are so excited to be leading this effort.
PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAMSIncludes lectures, exhibits, walking and travel tours, and conferences on classical architecture and vthe allied arts.
PUBLICATIONS
ICAA publishes an annual journal, The Classicist, and new and reprinted books on classical design through “The Classical America Series in Art and Architecture”. The Forum, a newsletter for members, is published twice per a year, complemented by a lively array of email updates from across the country throughout the year and an online blog at blog.classicist.org.
AWARDS
Through the annual Arthur Ross Awards ceremony, ICAA recognizes excellence by honoring the achievements and contributions of architects, painters, sculptors, artisans, landscape designers, patrons, and others in preserving and advancing the classical tradition. The Rieger-Graham Prize and the Alma Schapiro Prize provide opportunities for designers, architects and fine artists to study abroad as affiliated fellows of the American Academy in Rome. Our Texas membership convenes on a statewide basis for our annual John Staub Awards celebration, a two-day event that honors the best i n Texas classical architecture.
Although the national headquarters of the organization is in New York, fifteen regional chapters of the ICAA have developed all across the country. The Texas Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art was founded in 2006 and quickly developed into one of the fastest growing chapters in the country. Our membership is comprised of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, artisans, contractors, vendors, artists and patrons of classical architecture.
